At ASLDeafChat, we believe transparency builds trust. As a Deaf-led community organization, our goal is to serve the community  not just in what we do, but in how we do it. We want you to know exactly where your support goes, how we operate, and what values guide our work.

Our Mission

ASL Deaf Chat is dedicated to bringing together Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and hearing communities across Central Florida. We create safe, welcoming spaces where Deaf individuals can connect, socialize, and feel at home free from isolation. At the same time, we provide future ASL interpreters with real-world opportunities to practice, improve social skills, and build cultural understanding.

Through inclusive events and community support, we’re building lasting connections one conversation at a time.

ASL Deaf Chat  is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, officially incorporated in April 2025 in the state of Florida.

ASL Deaf Chat is a community organization dedicated to bridging the gap between Deaf and hearing communities across Central Florida. Your support helps us fulfill our mission of creating accessible, inclusive spaces where everyone can connect through American Sign Language (ASL), Deaf culture, and community engagement. Every dollar goes directly toward making a difference — helping us host events, support leaders, and increase access to language and connection for all.

Your generous contribution helps us:

•  Host free, accessible in-person Deaf Chat gatherings where Deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing individuals come together in a welcoming environment
• Provide real-world learning opportunities for interpreting students and ASL learners to interact respectfully with the Deaf community
•  Offer outreach to isolated or underserved Deaf individuals who may not have regular opportunities for social or language-rich connection
• Collaborate with schools, universities, and community partners to promote ASL awareness and Deaf cultural inclusion
• Keep our programs free or low-cost so that finances are never a barrier to access
