Since Spring 2024, ASL Deaf Chat has proudly collaborated with the UCF ASL Knights Club to build bridges between Deaf and hearing individuals through inclusive community events and educational initiatives.
Together, we’ve hosted a variety of engaging experiences including Deaf Chats, ASL practice nights, and campus-wide awareness events — all designed to encourage open communication, language learning, and mutual respect. The UCF ASL Knights Club brings a vibrant student voice and a passion for advocacy to our shared mission. Their enthusiasm and commitment have helped foster a stronger sense of unity between hearing students and the Deaf community. Combined with ASL Deaf Chat’s platform and cultural leadership, this collaboration empowers both Deaf and hearing individuals to connect, learn, and grow together. We’re excited to continue expanding this collaboration and to keep creating opportunities for students, community members, and allies to come together through the power of ASL and cultural understanding.

Since Summer 2025, ASL Deaf Chat has collaborated with Bridge Language Services to strengthen communication access and promote inclusive interaction across Deaf and hearing communities. This collaboration supports our shared mission of increasing language accessibility, cultural awareness, and community engagement. With Bridge Language Services' interpreting expertise and commitment to equity, we've been able to provide greater access to Deaf Chat events and create welcoming spaces where ASL users and learners feel seen, heard, and respected. Together, we're working to ensure that language is not a barrier but a bridge — connecting people, promoting understanding, and building stronger, more inclusive communities.
